Shoot 5 : Jesslin & Chloe

Had an opportunity to shoot with 2 lovely ladies after coming across their post on Clubsnap looking for a TFCD photographer. Perfect!

We had an awesome time shooting at a surprisingly crowded Botanic Gardens on a Saturday afternoon (surprising to me because the last time I was there many years ago, it was almost desolated). Jesslin and Chloe were really fun and spontaneous.
The sky was threatening to rain halfway through but it held up. I wished it was a little sunnier, but I'm not complaining. I'm sure my 2 models would have wished there were lesser mosquitoes.

I borrowed a 126 LED video light to experiment on this shoot as well (following the advice of my idol Jose Villa). Turns out I really liked it. It's much easier  as compared to a flash to control the amount of light I want, and it is softer as well. Sometimes flash is just too harsh even when set to the weakest power. The flipside is it drains batteries like Usain Bolt...

Shoot 4 : Daniel

It was Daniel's idea to go to the Lalang field. So after some googling and exploring, we found it. The 'famous' lalang field. Sad to say, it wasn't quite as impressive as I thought (not the most beautiful lalang you will find, not to mention the sky's a boring shade of grey). Nevertheless, we made do with what we have. Weather wasn't on our side as well, it rained and stopped a couple of times, making us scrabbling back into shelter. Note to self : check the weather forecast before every shoot!

So, I hope you enjoy the photos. Sorry Daniel if it is not up to expectations! Thanks for helping and bringing me to the lalang field! =D

Shoot 3 : Ken

I'm most excited about this shoot.
Playing with lights! Most of the shots are done with natural lighting and/or 1 studio light.
Thank you Ken for helping me out and lending his afternoon to me. Cheers!
